The peculiarity of the sacred basil is its action on the Heart-Shen (soul). It will restore sparkle to the Heart, a taste for life and put the person in touch with his soul. This action is of a Yang-sweet nature and will be done in calm and serenity. In Ayurvedic medicine, it is classified as "rasayana", that is to say a plant which nourishes the growth of the person towards perfect health and goes in the direction of promoting longevity. In Western medicine, it is "adaptogenic"; it increases resistance to stress and slows down aging by regulating all the functions of the organism (see Kidney). It therefore has an action on the heart material by regulating blood pressure, cholesterol and decreases the risk of cardiovascular disease. It rebalances the person. Tulsi will also decrease inflammation in the brain and increase concentration and memory while preventing degenerative brain diseases (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, etc.). Traditionally in India, it was used for all respiratory and digestive conditions. Indeed, rich in essential oils, it helps to expectorate, to digest, fight against allergic rhinitis and fight external pathogens. For 3000 years in India, tulsi has been one of the most sacred plants; necklaces from its stems are used to promote meditation ... the soil where it grows is considered holy ... It is said to make the person good, joyful and virtuous ... The sacred basil avoids sinking into the darkest despair and allows everyone to perceive themselves in their spiritual dimension. It helps humans to understand the source of their existential anguish and to recover as a "standing" being who can create happiness for themselves and others. A straight, open and honorable being.
