USNEA – (usnea barbata) - organic lichen tincture
Flavor and nature: bitter and cold - good against phlegm that clogs the lung - pneumonia.

Usnea is interesting mainly when the turbid phlegm clogs the lung from time to time (external attack). Usnea is a lichen. Lichens are a symbiosis between an alga and a mushroom. Usnea combines the action of these two components; indeed its fungus part acts on immunity and its algae part has an antibacterial, antiviral , antifungal action. It removes Heat and Humidity especially if the pulmonary mucus originates from a bacterium (streptococci, staphylococci, pneumococci) or a fungus; it is
a real natural antibiotic and antifungal. Its bitter taste chases away the evil heat. It is also effective in cases of Humidity Heat of the Bladder or the vagina except in the event of infection caused by the bacterium E. coli or other bacteria coming from the intestine (the lichen is indeed effective only against Gram bacteria positive and yeast infections). Likewise, it destroys bacteria and
pathogenic fungi for the skin and nails (impetigo, toe fungus, Candida, etc.). Its mushroom part acts on immunity and it can be interesting for people suffering from chronic diseases linked to defective immunity (HIV, herpes, repeated fungal infections ...). Note that to have this action, Usnea must be extracted in water (double extraction).
